Guest appearances by Gregg Bissonette (drums) and Tony Franklin (bass) lay down a brutal assault in the rhythm section department. Guitarist Dave Bates weaves intricate melodies and tasty heavy riffing throughout this sonic attack. The CD contains 9 tracks, including "Mask", " Thrown It All away", "Tail Of The Gun" and power ballad "We Breath".

Edge Of Paradise is about living on the edge, the life that's being portrayed as paradise is really an unstable existence that can tip you off the edge and out of existence.
Edge of Paradise, was born at the start of the year 2011. A chance introduction of singer /pianist Margarita Monet and guitarist/songwriter Dave Bates planted the seed that would soon grow into E.O.P. The two were introduced by a local Los Angeles music producer who had been working with Margarita on her single “Mystified” Dave recalls: “I was playing a music showcase with some guitar students I had been teaching at the time, and the two came up to me to voice their approval of my playing”. Right after, Dave was hired to play guitar on her single. Dave: “The thing that I remember most about this song was how dedicated and talented Margarita was”. As luck would have it, Dave’s former band “Bleed” fronted by famed Robin McAauley (MSG, Survivor)had just parted ways. Robin had been offered a slot as front man for the rock group “Survivor”. With Robin’s eye, now on the tiger, this opportunity would signify the beginning of the Edge of Paradise. The sound of the band began to take shape the previous year when Dave and Robin were working on songs that included legendary drummer Gregg Bissonette and fretless bass veteran Tony Franklin, leaving Edge of Paradise with a good head start in the right direction.

August 1st, 2011 marks the completion of groups debut CD “Mask”. The influences on this CD are incredibly diverse, and in fact when asked to describe the music, the band members have coined the phrase “Industrial melodic chaos” as a means to affix a label to their brand of hard rocking music. To quote Margarita: “it has always been my vision to create music that will be around for a while, I feel like we have really done that with Mask”. Margarita Monet’s wide ranging vocals, bring modern edge to the music, sonically matched by her keyboard playing, adding a classical flair and sonic depth. Guest appearances by Gregg Bissonette (drums) and Tony Franklin (bass) lay down a brutal assault in the rhythm section department. Guitarist Dave Bates weaves intricate melodies and tasty heavy riffing throughout this sonic attack. Dave’s contribution as a songwriter is obvious, as the guitar is given top billing and ample space to shine. Musically speaking, this is melodic metal delivered with taste and precision. Edge of Paradise is set to release the self- produced records “Mask” with their new label Shredrock records. The group is set to tour heavy and is looking to bring their music to hungry metal fans worldwide. The addition of Kevin Katich on drums and Steven Cook on bass, fills the big shoes left by Gregg and Tony on the CD, rounding the band's live sound to perfection. Edge of Paradise is coming live and loud to your town very soon so stay on the edge!
